Evidence with a visible trail.
Access OS separates public directory evidence from member reports. Provider cards show the source period and import date when the selected plan has documented provenance.
Current source registry
- New York State Department of Health — Individual Provider Network Data
Medicaid and Child Health Plus network snapshot: 2021 Q1 (January–March 2021).
- New York State Department of Health — commercial network data
Commercial network snapshot: 2020 Q4 (October–December 2020).
- CMS National Plan and Provider Enumeration System
Provider identity and public registry fields used for directory enrichment.
- MetroPlus machine-readable file
Public network file dated 2023-10-06; currently used only where plan mapping is explicit.
- Community reports
Plan-scoped reports from people who tried to use a provider. These are evidence of an experience, not official confirmation.
How to read source labels
Data period is the vintage supplied by the source. Imported is when Access OS loaded that source. Neither means that a provider personally confirmed the listing today. Verified is reserved for a real member or provider report.
Location enrichment
Distance and New York subway proximity use geocoded coordinates from Nominatim and station data maintained in the application. These convenience estimates are not travel guarantees.
